My favorite was always this one store that had every flavor of popcorn you could imagine. I'm hoping me and the hubs can make a trip back there soon. It can get light surface scratches pretty easily, but luckily the distressing and hand scraping hides most of it. It doesn't seem any better or worse than the floors in our last house, which were engineered cherry wood. All in all I don't think you can beat it for the price.

You can request a free sample from build direct (comes with a huge coupon) to test it out!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09585541078715745807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7098954819548813243.post-23325885728158903712013-01-28T14:57:18.167-08:002013-01-28T14:57:18.167-08:00I have a totally unrelated question. My husband & I are in the middle of completely renovating our kitchen which includes replacing the flooring of the living areas and kitchen....basically the entire house, minus the bedrooms/bathrooms. We are considering engineered birch but have heard that it's a softer wood. Have you had any issues with your birch floor?

Thanks!
EmilyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7098954819548813243.post-12125714830119954172013-01-28T06:51:20.644-08:002013-01-28T06:51:20.644-08:00Loving all of the projects!!!

I LOVE how you seem to run into all the same problems I do as a DIY entrepreneur. It's so refreshing. I could totally use one in my closet in place of the ugly Rubbermaid plastic folding thing stuck in there now.

My husband and I just LOVE Savannah! We actually spent our honeymoon there and then went back 2 years later with my sister and her boyfriend. We always say we're going to take a day and drive up to Charleston, but it hasn't happened yet- There's just too much to see and do in Savannah! Next time you go, check out the haunted house tour at the Sorrel-Weed House. The 1st time we went, it was just the two of us and one other couple (and the tour guide, of course)- super spooky! Also, drive over to Tybee Island and eat at McElwee's - standard coastal seafood fare, but it is amazing. I could go on for days about Savannah- if only I could convince my hubby to move 4 hours east ;) Amy @ For the Love of Georgiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11806248274776112330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7098954819548813243.post-4759086571809106612013-01-27T14:08:29.851-08:002013-01-27T14:08:29.851-08:00I live in Charleston and when you enter those old ...I live in Charleston and when you enter those old homes you can "feel" something in the air... so creepy!
I love the pops of color you added with your pantry!Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09135405739097896179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7098954819548813243.post-63338654586734148842013-01-27T11:38:58.406-08:002013-01-27T11:38:58.406-08:00It looks so cheerful and happy! :)
